My recent trip to the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU) under the Erasmus+ staff mobility program wasn’t just an academic exchange; it was a dive into the vibrant world of forest technology and a springboard for exciting future collaborations.

Sharing my knowledge of motor manual timber harvesting with enthusiastic students was a treasure – their eagerness fueled mine! But this trip wasn’t just about teaching; it was about learning.CZU and I launched a joint research project on forest technology and training forest operators. It’s a win-win, promising benefits for both universities and, ultimately, our students. And the future looks even brighter! I chatted with the Vice-dean about future student and staff exchanges, picturing classrooms buzzing with cross-cultural learning.

This Erasmus+ adventure wasn’t just about academic growth; it was about forging connections. I left Prague with a pocket full of new friends and colleagues, all passionate about forestry. In short, my Erasmus+ trip was a whirlwind of forest facts, friendly faces, and future possibilities. It’s the start of a beautiful partnership between KU and CZU.
